Bookish Tag: The Mid-Year Book Freak Out Tag

Bookish Tag Banner

Hello, everyone!

Today, I’m going to answer the given questions to this tag that will provide insight into mostly the novels I’ve read so far, and what books I’m anticipating.  Aside from books, I include manga and webtoon (manhwa) in my answers here as I’ve read a lot of them than books this year.

Thank you, Chelsie at Crazy4Books for tagging me on this tag! Come and check out her blog too after reading this post!

Best Book You’ve Read So Far?

The Grace Year by Kim Liggett

Well, considering that I’ve only read a few books this year because I’m really busy with my studies and organizations, The Grace Year by Kim Liggett is still on top of my favorite books this year.

Best Sequel You’ve Read So Far?

Xenith Trilogy Book two and three.jpg

The best sequel I’ve read so far are Between Frost and Fury and Within Ash and Stardust both written by Chani Lynn Feener.

Biggest Disappointment?

Not a disappointment, but I’m feeling incomplete because there’s no update yet in the manga called Berserk by Kentaro Miura. I finished it last month, and I love reading it.

Biggest Surprise?

What Lies Within by James Morries

What Lies Within by James Morris surprised me, well, it is the author actually because his works always become one of my favorites.

Favorite New Author?

Kim Liggett! I loved her writing style, especially her book called The Grace Year!

Newest Fictional Crush?

The Casquette Girls by Alys Arden.png

My newest fictional crush is Isaac from The Casquette Girls by Alys Arden.

Newest Favorite Character?

Master Neo from Rebirth created by 69Michi in Webtoon. The story is still ongoing, and the setting of the story is set after an apocalypse. The story is unique because it is different from the zombie-kind of a story that I’ve watched so far.

Newest Favorite Side Character?

For my newest favorite side character, I’m picking Wilson from What Lies Within by James Morris. Wilson is the best kind of friend that you’ll want to have ever!

Book That Made You Cry?

The Grace Year by Kim Liggett

The book that somehow made me cry because of the main character’s situation is The Grace Year by Kim Liggett.

Book That Made You Happy?

How to Build a Heart by Maria Padian.jpg

How to Build a Heart by Maria Padian. I love this book. It is simply an inspiring novel. My review for this novel is scheduled to be posted before the year ends.

New Release You Haven’t Read Yet, But Want To?

Wilder Girls by Rory Power.jpg

With many titles being released every year, I cannot pick which one I’m excited more to read, but so far, Wilder Girls by Rory Power is on top of my TBR for newly released titles.

Most Anticipated Release For Second Half of 2019?

Favorite Review You’ve Written This Year?

Ahhh maybe The Grace Year by Kim Liggett? I don’t know, haha! I just keep on writing my reviews, and I don’t really have any favorite review because I wrote them all based on how I want to express my thoughts on them.

Most Beautiful Book You Acquired So Far This Year?

The Storm Crow by Kalyn Josephson.jpg

I’m still on book buying ban (for physical copy only), so I’m choosing one from my Kindle Library. I think this book, The Storm Crow by Kalyn Josephson, is one of the beautiful books that I bought this year. I love the feels it gives to me, which made me want to read it.

What Books Do You Need To Read By The End of The Year?

The books on my “for review” piles! I am a mood reader, so I don’t know what to put here aside from those books on my “for review” list.
